Donny
Simon Katich won the toss and batted at the Sydney Cricket Ground, in the Pura Cup final. 1/94. Phil Jaques 41* Katich 44* Victoria must win the match to lift the Cup whereas NSW will be Pura Cup champions with a win or a draw. Peter Siddle struck the first blow when he had promising opener Philip Hughes caught at second slip for just six. The Victorians could have had another wicket if Brad Hodge had held onto a sharp chance off Katich when the captain was on 11, the score was 1/23 at that stage. Link to comment
