Cafe Saffron 238-240 Upper Heidelberg Road Ivanhoe VIC 3079 yup its good... I live 500 metres from this place but don't usually go there. Food is good though :two_thumbs_up:

The owner of these restaurants used to sit next to me at work. He opened Red pepper after a failed Indian restaurant in box hill ... even red pepper was a failure at first as I remember him telling me that he just can bear the running costs anymore. I was telling him from day one that he must have lunch special etc for around $7-8 so desis can eat at red pepper and avoid Hungry Jacks. I am not sure if he heard me but within few weeks he changed the menu in the last ditch effort to save the business... The quality is getting worse day by day and the serves are getting smaller at Red pepper plus the customer service is cr@p. I still go there maybe once a month just because my wife is a vegetarian and there are some good veggie dishes

No No Singh's is the restaurant where they shot for Salam Namaste .. the one Im talking about is 200 metres futhur away from the CBD As for Singh's I accidentally met the ex-owner (the guy with more jewelery than Ravan in Ramayna ) at Singh's Take away .. he sold Singh's rest to his cousin few months ago

Online Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 While watching it, I realized that I had met up with "Online" ( ICF User ) there last year but I never really browsed the menu http://www.vijs.ca/index_in.htm It's a truly Gourmet Indian a la fusion, with items like pork tenderloin in curry to lamb Popsicles ( would be awesome with a nice red wine ) haha I remember that :D
