graphic23 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Hey guys, Assuming you have watched the movie 'Roja' by Mani Ratnam, do you know the locations in the first song ("Chotti Si Aasha") and where the film was shot (whether it was actually in Kashmir or not)? Thanks - I've been wondering about it ever since I've seen it.

The locations of the first song is in Tamil Nadu itself, I am presuming somewhere in one of the southern districts ( mostly thirnalveli or dharmapuri). And all the falls and cascades that come in the song must be the Hogenakal falls, which is also in southern T.N. With regards to the latter half of the movie, am pretty sure most of it was shot it Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and very little of it must have been actually shot in Kashmir. graphic23 1

Zap_Brannigan Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I am sure it was not kashmir.I think it might be OOty(or another hilly region). I remember reading that they used salt to make it look like kashmir.
