So India won the toss once again and chose to bat first. With 3 pacers and 2 spinners, India were looking to bank on the 4th/5th day. But they never came, did they? If I recall earlier, Dravid had done the same against England and we went on to lose that match as well. In my opinion, the pitch wasnt that bad. Some of the guys like Laxman and Ganguly didnt offer any shots in the first innings. However, a better effort in the second innings but the deficit from the first innings was just too much. It seems Indian pacers do not bowl well in their home conditions but perform exceedingly well overseas such as in South Africa, England, and Australia.
