Looking back on the Bollywood films that escaped between the cracks

There was a time, surprisingly not too long ago, when Bollywood lacked the polish and style - such as it is - of today and reflects a simpler time. For me, this period of Bollywood existed between the ages of 7 and 16. During this period were released blockbusters like Tohfa, Mard, Karma, Mr. India, Tezaab, Maine Pyar Kiya, Dil, Saajan, Beta. But there were a lot of other lower budget ventures that slipped between the cracks of history and which to me really captured not only the amateurish, jugaad-driven, drama school roots of the Golden Age of Bollywood but also the cultural mores that persisted from a different time and place.

These movies were filled with hilarious and unexpected twists, cringe-inducing situations and absolutely hilarious dialogues and even more ridiculous delivery!

Anyway, enough text, time for some hilarious snippets from this age that made me breathe in sharply...
