Recent examples were MI in 17 and 19, and KXIP in 14. And KKR beating DC last year was also a fluke. RR would also have fared better in a BO3. Most sports follow either a BO3, BO5, or BO7 format, with football having a two leg format. Cricket should also have something similar. Even in intl tournaments.
