zen Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Usually seen as a minnow and a step above the associates, the Tigers best games tend to come against fellow Asian teams. In the past LOI world cups, they have beaten both Ind (2007) & Pak (1999). In T20 WCs, the Tigers are yet to beat Ind & Pak. To march into the semis, they need to beat them both (in the most straight forward scenario). Plays both the teams at Adelaide on 11/02 (IND) & 11/06 (PAK). So far, BD has not shown enough spark to inspire confidence but in T20s, you never know. A good run of play can drive confidence. If BD beats Ind, I would not be surprised if Pak plays a fringe line up against it if Pak loses to SA (as it would be a dead rubber for Pak) which would increase the possibilities of a BD win. Discuss if BD has a chance. Poll closes before the India-BD game. or

A washout is not necessarily good for BD as its behind on NRR PS then it has to hope Zim beats IND (and if so ZIM could quality if it beat NED in its previous game) & it of course would need to beat PAK ... Rather keep it in your hands, go for a win and if you lose, it is fine as IND is seen as a better team anyways Edited October 31, 2022 by zen
zen Posted November 2, 2022 Author Posted November 2, 2022 BD lost the game but I would still give the team the “roar” … Unlucky to miss out due to unnecessary panic as the batsmen could have gone after targeted bowlers more. Only way for it to move to the next stage is to hope that it beats Pak with a huge huge margin and Ind loses to Zim, an improbable scenario but you never know!
