Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted May 25, 2008 Author Share Posted May 25, 2008 He played crucial knocks against Pakistan and RSA(when India were on the verge of elimination). lolll..against pakistan..he was bowled for 6 in the final and in India's second league game of the tournament against pak he got 33 off 31....wow what batting...lol His only decent score was 45 off 33 balls against RSA. Nothing to write home about Dhoni in the Twenty20 cup and look at what the blind ppl have been believed to follow. India won T20 based on their performances not cuz of Dhoni. Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted May 25, 2008 Author Share Posted May 25, 2008 maan when kings xi punjab start winnings games (mostly due to a certain Shaun Marsh, Pomersbach, Irfan Pathan, Chawla and the Sri Lankan duo) then the UV supporters come out and start showering praises on him being an excellent captain and batsman and Dhoni being crap (especially when Chennai lose) some facts for such ppl: - Chennai beat KXP twice so far - UV scored 169 in Bangalore? Look at the Paki attack in that match please. Its no wonder he couldnt replicate such an innings against Aus - Dhoni showered praise on UV after his 76 against SL. He kept putting UV in starting XI. - Most importantly, Dhoni won us a test match (without our best spinner) and two high-profile tournaments. He is amazing between the wickets and keeps the run-rate up in a chase, marshalling the strike really well (with guys like Rohit, UV etc). And you want yuvraj to replace him as captain?? look at the points table dude..where we are and where you are? We are a powerhouse at the top. You are a minnow struggling to find a spot. Its really comical....:hysterical: Lets look at the claim made, "Dhoni has nothing to do with the CB series win because he did nothing". But when someone brings in stats to show it is not true, the reply is "big deal! Yuvi was not in form!" whether yuvi was in his form or not, the stats fly in the face of the assertion Dhoni did nothing. ICC also said that the pitch was below standard. I am not the only one. It was all over the news and you could see how it assisted INDIA. Dhoni's p'ship with Rohit Sharma ensured that we didn't go out of the competition. Yuvi would have made 70 in his dreams against OZ had Dhoni not played that knock. And Dhoni again saved us from elimination in the CB series with an unbeaten 50 in the run chase against SL. U cant compare these 2, they are different batsmen and have very different roles ...in most ODIs UV is supposed to attack and take the game away from opposition and Dhoni is supposed to finish it off... They have different roles .. if uv is not the captain today then there are reasons for that ... and if Team India has done well under Dhoni then obviously some credit should go to Dhoni ...
