The Indian duo of Bhupathi and Paes, who converted three of 12 break points in their semifinal match, last reached a final in 2004 when they captured the title at the Rogers Masters in Toronto. The former World No. 1s are searching for their 24th title together and have a 23-9 lifetime record in ATP finals. They compiled their best seasons in 1997-98 when they captured six titles together. Paes, who celebrated his 35th birthday on Tuesday, is a two-time former champion at the Ordina Open event, winning in 1999 (w/Siemerink) and 2006 (w/Damm), while the 34-year-old Bhupathi is making his debut. In the final, they will face Mario Ancic and Jurgen Melzer. The Croatian/Austrian team needed two tie-breaks to battle past rookie duo Steve Darcis and Marc Gicquel 7-6(6), 7-6(2). In the first round they toppled third seeds Frantisek Cermak and Jordan Kerr. :two_thumbs_up:
