Proper Sporting Pitch

Why we are not preparing proper sporting pitch which has proper balance between bat and ball as we have best pacer like bumrah and batsman like Jaiswal and pant? If we would have prepare proper sporting pitch against SA we would have won First Test?

Because in last windies test Indian bowlers had to bowl a lot and they were apparently tired. Gambhir wanted a quick fix

What is proper sporting pitch, is there an example of it  ????

Do not need a theoretical pitch which supports pace and swing for days :-1-1.5 and gets better then for batters till 3.5th day and then start supporting spinners for rest. 

 

There is nothing like sporting test wkts in the era of result oriented test cricket. Ind have been tinkering pitches for a long time now so there is no natural behaviour.

 

 

The issue here is that Ind batting in not comfortable or or confidently say they can out bat opp. on that kind of test pitch.

If they make flat surfaces, they fear their batter will play slow and lever out runs and other teams will score at higher rates , against high quality spin they have not been scoring for a v.long time. On quick surfaces we saw what happened in Aus.

 

All run scoring has come from lower order or lower middle order in last 5-6 years. 

 

If this was tricky spinning wkts how come a visiting SA team out score Ind batters, a theory have been floated for a v.long time that because Ind Intnl batters does not play spin/domestic that often so they are no that good but this group is filled with newer batter who is good playing high quality spin ??

 

 

The issue is in test Ind batting is struggling to bat against a just above average bowling line-ups be it spin or pace.

 

The Ind style of spin batting is not a viable solution now. Batter have to develop sweeps/reverse sweep etc. This is not old style or spin bowling where bowlers give flight and batters can use feet and the ball turns slow.

This is new kind of spin, flat fast and given Ind wkts it turns at that pace, plus spin bowlers have been able to spin at higher pace now. What is the counter does Ind batters have to that  ??
