umpire
for me was 3rd day morning session. India lost the game there. Kumble delayed new ball and with old ball, nothing was happening. Srilanka took new ball as soon as it was available and got rid of our tail very quickly. That was big blunder by Kumble. It was matter of another 100 Runs. Their tail really wagged. The contribution of Vaas, P. Jayawarande and Prasad was more than 100 Runs and thats were we lost the game. I still feel, Srilankas only relies on Jaya and Sanga, if this two fail cheaply, its curtains for them. They will still struggle abroad as they won't have runs on the board for M & M. Link to comment
The_Black_Prince
The difference is that Sri Lanka's Top Two Thundered while India's Former Fab Four Fizzled like a damp squib. Link to comment

Predator_05
India lost this test on day 1 itself. The pitch was dead, an excellent batting track. They had a chance to put up a big total and seize control of the match. The Indians got a great start from Sehwag and Gambhir and then fell apart for 249, chance gone begging. Being bowled out for 249 on that kind of pitch is just ridiculous. SL were always going to win after that first day Link to comment

fineleg
Win the toss and get to bat first was a boon. We blew it not scoring a 450-500 batting first. Link to comment
Chaos
blame it on sehwag and gambhir too. They were in great form and throwing away their wickets like that is just plain dumb Link to comment
diegovegaz
the main difference was our feilding all those srop catches and missed run out chances cost us more than 180 runs in the 3rd test match it can also be learnt from the 1st test, all those batsmen who were dropped went to make hundreds Link to comment
