THX_1138 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 So here's the thing: i volunteer at our local radio station: 90.1 K Pft FM which is a listener sponsored radio station that is funded almost exclusively by listener contributions gathered during fund drives where the audience is encouraged to call the radio station and pledge their support through monetary donations. Since most of my money is spent on "recreational items", i try to contribute by volunteering with the radio station. This past Wednesday, i was volunteering when the program director put me on air for a minute or two where i took a shot at el presidente by remarking how he and tony blair share a unique interest in beach volleyball... concluding that there might be a connection between starting apocalyptic wars and watching twenty something, six feet ladies spike a ball about... Of course, i had rehearsed this, as i had anticipated such an impromptu incident (spot the oxymoron here!)... and yeah, i almost wet my pants from the anxiety! but nonetheless, it was a thrill... i ll be going back there this october... hopefully with more material prepared!!!
