I thought that the goal according to Hinduism for all living beings is to get out of this cycle of reincarnation and reach heaven? Either ways, even if we include all forms of animals and insects (the number of species in this itself is close to 2 million (conservative estimate), the total number of insects that are in the planet are close to 10 quintillion, the numbers wont add up to support this theory.
Why does it not add up: not all of those from other species get to become human ..Nobody said all of them suddenly turns into human being.... If you are hell bet on not accepting this theory that's fine but it makes credible mathematical sense..

how does that make mathematical sense? if it can be proved mathematically, that the sum total of lives or souls in the world remains constant, with rules describing how the physical manifestation changes from one form to another (what does a cat need to do to become a dog) etc, and the rules describing of how humans get out of this cycle and we come up with an equation Total number of lifes in 2000 = total number of lifes in 2005 - number of people who attained moksha, and this statement is falsifiable then me accepting or not accepting this theory doesnt make an iota of difference that this is a true and valid claim.

Now you are suddenly asking for proof.. there is nothing provable in matters of faith everything is theory.. i was just propping up the theory of possibilityfor the benfit of those who could not concieve this possibility.. My point is if you take the collective picture despite incarantion-theory it's possible to explain ever increasing number of human beings..

Dude that answer everyone knows ..here I am trying to reason with those who don't believe in reincaranation but believe in religion..
so to be precise, members of the abrahamic faiths?

i think you need to replace the word theory with conjecture or belief. theory refers exclusively to a statement that is verifiable by means of experiment and is thus falsifiable.

some greek philosopher you are.
:haha: Although it is below the belt, since I have not seen your body of work related to physics to retaliate about your being Einstiens reincarnate.

that goof is not a philosopher, he is well a goof, a very very daft goof. i mean, his logic for refuting the theory of evolution is so motherfracking dumb that i am lead to believe that his so called doctorate of medicine might be a farce.

he does not have doctorate in medicine he is a simple MBBS doctor.. I wonder why people with medical degree not phd who work in field other than medicine trumpet the designation Dr.. what does MBBS degree bring to the table for a religious commentator.. incidentally this tradition is too rampant in pakistan all the zillion doctors their strutting around on tv channels are MBBS one might think they have Phd degree in the subject they are pontificating about but no .. same is the case with this Dr Joker Naik..

Reincarnation : i accept Buddha/Nagarjuna's idea of reincarnation, where they argue that the spirit of someone's actions, the causality of one's actions and the emotions of a person get re-incarnated throughout time. The circular nature of history is proof of this IMO, where similar events keep playing themselves out as the causality of one's actions along with the spirit of it is embedded in the collective conciousness/social conciousness and keeps re-asserting itself. But reincarnation, as in the hindu thinking of one's imperishable soul being continuously re-born and re-incarnated? utterly and 100% prime quality boolsheet of circular reasoning and zero evidence whatsoever.
