King Tendulkar Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I have seen enough. Only a short knock but this guy is class and needs a good run in all form of international cricket, especially Tests. Looks technically very good, calm and composed. Unlike some other like Virat he flashes away and looks suspect. I can see why he has scored bucket loads of runs in FC cricket. He knows his game and is ready to go. Right age as well as clearly matured enough to be ready for near instant success. No need for 1 year development like other yougsters. Also electric runner btwn wickets and very good fileder. I am very excited about this guy. Looks like the man to me!

Kartikey Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Definitely, and although I feel bad about saying this, maybe he should come in place of Dada against the Aussies.
Kumar Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 this guy is a huge prospect. I hope that the selectors pick him from now on, as his performance was significant.
bunny Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I won't say he is orthodox especially against fast bowlers. But, he deserves a chance in tests (whether or not against Aus in the first test itself is debatable) and ODIs also (remember there are too many players who have moved from ODIs to tests after making a permanent spot in ODIs).

chanakya Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Isnt this the same way Rohit was hyped after seeing a few of his innings? Rohit has the qualities except the temperament. This guy has already proved in First Class cricket that he has the temperament to score and score big
bharat297 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I was impressed too , but many of you were saying the same thing about Rohit Sharma after his innings at the MCG vs australia in the 4th ODI of the CB series. Now when he is going through his lean spell, people say he is useless and over-rated. Lets wait a little bit ... He played very well today.
Fontaine Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I was impressed too , but many of you were saying the same thing about Rohit Sharma after his innings at the MCG vs australia in the 4th ODI of the CB series. Now when he is going through his lean spell, people say he is useless and over-rated. Lets wait a little bit ... He played very well today. Very true. It's a tendency in Indian cricket to over hype a player when he does something well. I do believe, though, that Badrinath looked more secure than some of our other batsmen. He was picking Murali's doosra and at times picking Mendis from off the pitch (like Sehwag). He should get an exteneded run now in the current ODI series.
Dooks Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 *** Breaking News: *** Ganguly announces retirement from cricket. Badrinath to replace Ganguly in the test 11. :--D - just kidding boys. But I really really hope that he will replace Ganguly in the tests not Yuseless. Yuseless should only play ODI and T20.
kabira Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 He handled Mendis with ease. I liked his technique against the Mendis. He should bat up in the order perhaps two down.
bharat297 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 He handled Mendis with ease. I liked his technique against the Mendis. He should bat up in the order perhaps two down. Yes bat him at 4 imo
