Srinivasan to replace Shah as BCCI secretary Press Trust Of India Posted on Sep 19, 2008 at 16:50 | Treasurer N Srinivasan is all set to take over as the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) new secretary as incumbent Niranjan Shah steps down from the post at the September 27-28 BCCI AGM in Mumbai following the expiry of his tenure. According to BCCI sources, Srinivasan will be the automatic choice for the important post, making him the second official after Jagmohan Dalmiya in the history of the Board to be elevated as secretary after serving as treasurer. "There are no two opinions about it. It is a unanimous decision to elevate Srinivasan, who has proved himself as treasurer, to secretary. The Board has gained Rs. 260 crore to its coffers during the year," sources said. As per the rules and regulations of the Board, which were amended when Shashank Manohar was named President-elect to replace Sharad Pawar who takes over as the ICC President in 2011, the officials to be elected at the AGM in Mumbai will hold office for two years. Dalmiya was the only official to have held the post of secretary twice among the 17 who have served in that position in the board. Shah would continue to work with the Board in a position yet to be decided. :nervous: "Shah is the senior-most official with great experience in the board now. In recognition of his services and experience, he will be rewarded with an important post in the BCCI," sources said. :finger: "He has been thinking of retirement but we decided to have his services to have a sense of cohesion among the new office-bearers to be elected in the coming AGM," they added. Sources also said that present joint-secretary M P Pandove will succeed Srinivasan as treasurer. Pandove, in turn, will be replaced by Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association secretary and presently a national selector Sanjay Jagdale. The Board has also decided to continue with having selectors from each of its five zones but they will be appointed upon a proposal by the board president and ratified by the AGM. Former players who wish to be part of the panel will have to apply for their names to be considered.wtf

Is that all ? TV revenue from Neo Sports is 120 million USD (600 million or so for five years) and from SET MAX is 100 million (a billion for 10 years). That alone is 220 million USD = 880 crore rupees.
