And thats so close to the capital of the country. NOIDA and surrounding areas have been in news for all the wrong reasons. I stayed in NOIDA for sometime. In my early days when I had hired a single room in sector 15, once I got a goon knocking on my door asking me to pay for security. He said that every resident in that area had to pay for security. I took up the issue with my landlord and after a fight, he paid for that month's "security" for me and gave me a notice to vacate in a month. Then I took up another room in sector 27 where I lived peacefully for the rest of my stay in Noida.

All this happens because law enforcement is so pathetic in India. Even though the police is a supposedly indepenedent force, all they do is to shamelessly toe the lines of sitting MLAs and MPs. We HAVE to make our law-enforcement more stringent and impartial. Anyone who commits a crime should know that he/she will be punished, irrespective of status, caste or creed. Till that day, we will continue to have such instances of vigilante justice.

Its sad but things are overall becoming worse for UP because of caste based politics. Susri Mayawati is more concerned about putting up her own statues and opening new pvt colleges than to work on law &order , roads , development etc. Before her Amar singh and Mulayam singh didnt spare a chance to make money when offered by industrialists or gundas. even now they are more bothered about muslims , dalits etc than to be thinking about development or law & order. UP is fast becoming new bihar
