Kartikey Posted October 7, 2008 Share Posted October 7, 2008 Some say Indo-Pak, some Aus-Eng. I disagree, the Ashes and Indo-Pak matches provide no excitement these days. Ind-Aus has got to be No.1, due to the competiveness. Believe me, the Ashes are followed closely in Eng only if they are doing well. After 05, they all got excited and before the start of the 06/07 one, they were excited, but after the second match, most people gave up because they realised they were'nt gonna win. Controversies during VB series last year has lot to contribute to this excitement. I believe this rivalry started with 2001 series because before that, I was not as excited to see Ind-Aus. King Posted October 8, 2008 Share Posted October 8, 2008 Ind-Pak and Ashes are the closest to an Indo-Aussie clash but both are quite timid these days as India and Australia dominate the proceedings. Ashes can be revived but I can't see Pakistan coming up with a team like they had in the late 80s or early 90s. Indo-Pak was thrilling during its times but it's over the clock now. I wish the current Indian team can take on the early 90s Pak team. That would have been a terrific contest. Link to comment
