umpire
The Australia run rate was less than 3 Ricky scored hundred and yet they could not just take off. We are into their inexperience late order, Watson, Haddin and White. If I am Kumble and I lost toss. I would consider decent day. Yes I will take Day 1 as ours. Link to comment
Shane
This could have been posted in the match thread itself, there wasnt any need to open a new thread mate Link to comment

Ram
With Indian colors tinted glasses, I would call it honors even. But, if I were to take a neutral standpoint, then I would call it advantage Australia, only by slightly though. Clarke's wicket at the end does make quite a difference. However, they still have 3 specialist batsman to come, so they'll feel quite confident themselves. The first session tomorrow is massively important. If the Aussies dont lose more than 1 or 2 wickets and end it at 350/5, then we'll be on the backfoot. If we can snag some quick wickets, the momentum will quickly change direction. Link to comment
Sachinism
I'd say Australia have a slight advantage, but there isn't that much there for the bowlers and Aussies couldn't get away all day Link to comment

King Tendulkar
We are right in this! Couple of early wickets tommorow and we could clean them up. However, they bat worringly long Link to comment
umpire
The wicket of Clarke made it India Day. Australia on first day wicket crawled to the 254. Two more wickets in 20 runs they are under pressure. They don't even have Gilly to save their azzez. Watson, Haddin and White, all rookies. We need good spell from Zaheer and Ishant to take this 3 wicket. Yes it was India day on two counts 1) never allowed Aussies to run away 2) inexperienced lower order under pressure now. India 55% Aus 45% Link to comment
Predator_05
That 4th wicket is the only reason why it's still a contest. They have a very strong tail - arguably the strongest in cricket today. Lee, Johnson, Clark can bat well. With that in mind, getting them out for less than 350 on this good batting surface would be a decent effort. India must win the first session, otherwise they will be hunting leather all day long. Link to comment

Ram
If we think that the ‘inexperienced’ batting order of Watson, Haddin and White are just come and go in a procession and we can bowl them out cheaply, then we’re definitely in for a rude surprise. Given how slow the pitch is and the fact that almost all these players have significant FC experience and have played before in India, I am certain they wont be pushovers. And lets not forget, Michael Hussey is still there too. We’re staring at a minimum total of 400, if not something much bigger. Link to comment
umpire
^ yes you are right. In cricket no one is pushover. But if I am Kumble, I know I have chance theirs is inexperience late order. I have to go for the Kill Link to comment
