umpire
The drop from Ishant when Clarke was 21 is for me turning point of the game. It was early in the day and if that catch was taken we would have had lead of 150 odd and by the end of the day we would have 260 odd ahead and ready to declare after an hour of batting. Now we can't do anything, all we should do is bat all day tomorrow especially Dravid needs some runs under his belt. We are into unknown territory now, nobody knows how Nagpur pitch will behave, its new stadium, new pitch. Have we give away Border Gavaskar trophy??? Most likely Kumble won't play and Bhajji is in doubt, no Gambhir as well. We have to include Praghyan Ojha in the XI along side Mishra. Link to comment

mhr123
GG will play as final Test against Australia starts in Nagpur from November 6 and if a decision doesn't arrive by ICC till then, Gambhir will be eligible to play in that match as BCCI has already appealed against the Ban. Link to comment
cochise
Turning point was when the Indian team walked onto the field this morning complacent about the state of the game. Most of them, while being physically present, were already mentally absent from the game. Link to comment
Rajan
I think if ishant had taken the catch, v could have had a lead of 150+. could have batted again post lunch, set a target of about 320 odd tomorrow morning after a 4 over hit and heavy rolling the pitch. but all this is pointless. our catching must improve a lot. laxman generally is a reliable catcher, it was miserable to watch him drip a sitter. even Mishra's catch was easy. i can understand if some one has a poor batting form or bowling form, but missing dollies.... ludhianvi
I agree, it was at an important state of the match, and it could've charged up the Indians as it was very early into the day. Link to comment
Sachinism
Catching was atrocious from India Link to comment
cochise
What catching? One accidentally fell into Zaheer's hands and the other was brought down by sheer will power, into a half broken hand, by it's owner, a very angry bowler and captain. Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
Most likely Kumble won't play and Bhajji is in doubt, no Gambhir as well. We have to include Praghyan Ojha in the XI along side Mishra. Where are those Kumble haters and Pace advocates gone into hiding? Why is suddenly the series under threat because Kumble and Bajji are injured? Why are they not coming out and saying we can go with 4 pace bowlers and Sehwag can pitch in as spinner? Thats what they wanted when the Bangalore test finished.. right? Also, where are those who spoke about Kumble stepping down to give way for Mishra in Delhi test? Will they put up a brave face and say that we can win the Nagpur match even if we have to make Kumble and Bajji sit out and play Amit Mishra, the wonder kid who picked 7 wickets at Mohali? This is the reality - once Kumble is gone and when Bajji is off color and new comers like Amit and Piyush not doing that great, we are into troubled waters... Link to comment
