It is in chaste Urdu and specially towards the beginning when Rishi Kapur says something along the lines of 'Aaj Yaaum-e-Azaadi ke jasn pe..." waala part will go over the head. b) Probably one of the finest works of Majrooh. Even though this song came way before I was born, I fell in love with it the very first time I heard it..and for the following lines. Aaj hum jaise jigar waale kahan zakham khaaya hai tab huye hain jawaan teer ban jaaye doston ki najar ya bane khanjar dushmanon ki jawaan. Beautiful lines. Specially the one towards the beginning. c) Beautiful qawaali. So unfortunate that this stellar tradition has died. Another beautiful qawaali starring Rish Kapur is of course from Amar Akbar Anthony - Parda nasheen ko beparda na kar doon to..

I see what you are saying.. .. it irks me when I see someone like himesh reshamiya becomes star with faltu songs.. and also become judge .. Yes, these lines are amazing..
