bunny Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 He just doesn't have it in him to stop the flow of runs. If the ball is swinging he will take wickets, but that's about it. When he is bowling we need the 8-1 setup.
fineleg Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 whenever you put ZK in a typical "Test" situation - he'll do ok. When u put him in a stage where Run Rate matters (ODI) or like today in Test match, he goes haywire and starts leaking runs. sorta like what Harmison does i think, (if im right, Harmison sucked in ODI situations too)
PaiN_KiLLeR Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Zaheer has always been a better bowler in longer format of the game. But he has been improving in ODI's of late... he was the best bowler in our ODI series win in Lanka.
King Tendulkar Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 pretty pointless thread at this moment in time when we are close to winnning a test series
bunny Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 pretty pointless thread at this moment in time when we are close to winnning a test series :) ODI series coming up, no? Zak has improved no doubt, but consistent line and length has never been his forte. He bowls some really good deliveries in every over, but just not consistent enough. I guess one can't ask for everything. He is miles ahead of Mitch though.
