SL NRR is +4.86 If we shot out Bermuda for 100 our NRR will be 3.06 for 125 our NRR will be 2.81 for 150 our NRR will be 2.55 Last game between SL v/s Bangla was CT qualifying rounds SL scored 302 runs and Bangla replied with 265. If we assume similar scenario... SL NRR will be 2.76..Thats best case scenario for SL..I dont reckon SL will score 300+ runs against Bangladesh...the game might be really close..in that case NRR of SL will go south.. We need to nail Bermuda around 100..

Re: NRR Calculation Here is some fantasy math to show how hard it is for BD to raise its NRR in its last game. (Its very difficult to raise NRR as more & more games accumulate). Suppose we bowl Bermuda for 125, we will have a NRR of 2.81 (100 a.o would give us 3.06) Here is my prediction on Lanka vs BD: Lanka: 280, BD: 230 (BD's NRR: -0.43) And, Ind vs SL: Ind: 290, SL: 270 (Ind - NRR: 2.06) Assume BD scores 450 & bundles Bermuda for less than 100 BD: 450, Ber: 100 (NRR: 2.04), still Ind will qualify OTOH, if Bermuda bats first & scores 100, even if BD chases it down in 5 overs, BD's NRR is: 1.20. Thats how difficult it is for Bangla. There is hope guys after this performance.

Re: NRR Calculation I wouldn't worry about this for now as the NRR hinges still on India winning against SL and SL winning against Bangladesh. Fair enough it helps the fans to settle down a bit or relax a bit by doing some math but the fact remains India's fortune hinges on a lot of variables.
