punjabi_khota Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 "Delhi Assembly Speaker Chaudhury Prem Singh, who has never lost an election since 1958, is leading in Ambedkar Nagar while in Jungpura, BJP candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa is ahead against Congress veteran Tarvinder Singh Marwah." :omg::omg::omg:
Ram Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Some important things to note; The last few months of record inflation and price rices were to have worked strongly in favor of the BJP, with a 4-0 sweep of this round of elections. In fact, Cong has NOT won a SINGLE state election in the LAST two years. This win in Rajasthan, Delhi and a possible berth to power in Chattisgarh will really pep them up. Mumbai's 26/11 was expected to play a massive role, esp in Delhi and Rajasthan, both of which voted AFTER the incident. Terrorism obviously is still not that big a factor.
Ram Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 BJP coming back in Rajasthan... Trailing Cong 65-85... Interesting, Cong could stop short of the half-way mark....may need independents' help.
Ram Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 In Delhi too, Cong may just fall short of the half-way mark.. Need 35 seats, are right now at 33.
Ram Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Turnaround in Chattisgarh. Cong leads in 39, BJP in 37. Wow, Cong make it 3/4!
Desi Cartman Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 In a way it shows that an average voter is smarter than we think. Its surprising that Congress is doing well
Ram Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Cong has just touched the half-way mark in Delhi.
Desi Cartman Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Cong has just touched the half-way mark in Delhi. its because common man in Delhi is impressed with Dixit's work on Metro , fly overs etc ... otherwise 3 elections is a row is difficult
Desi Cartman Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 yes SUSRI Mayawati is having an impact on non up states now
Guest dada_rocks Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I am not surprised at all BJP has to fight againt the whole elctronic media machinery in addition to the congress party.. they need to show performance like narendra modi to counter this media negative campaign.......

DR , I think BJP is losing since they dont have any direction .. also they lack good leadership at state as well as national level.
Guest dada_rocks Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 most surprising is delhi other resultsd are as expecte.. i am saying this because hardly six months back in municipality election congress was virtually wiped out by BJP
Desi Cartman Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 most surprising is delhi other resultsd are as expecte.. i am saying this because hardly six months back in municipality election congress was virtually wiped out by BJP I am also surprised at delhi ..They basically voted for metro and flyovers ...
Guest dada_rocks Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 DR ' date=' I think BJP is losing since they dont have any direction .. also they lack good leadership at state as well as national level.[/quote'] We have seen last 7-8 elections BJp wining did that mean they had direction then.. BJp wud always be better in terms of clairyt when the opposition is congress.. elections are more comlex than that simplification.. Somewhere these guys screwed up in delhi how can you go from complete vitory to loss in space of six months .. rest of the results are on expected on lines.. chhatisgarh and MP BJP will retain.. I was hoping Delhi wil switch to BJP going by municipal election results and rajsthan was gone case the day Gujjar meena nautanki continued for a month or so.. In situation like this party in power is bound to lose.. I still don;t get this... people are still cavalier about security . .. Now the inaction galore wil continue because congress has got enordsement for its do nothing program on security front......
Guest dada_rocks Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 yes SUSRI Mayawati is having an impact on non up states now She has global appeal not a regional leader like laloo and mulayam..
Prudent Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Cong takes Raje-sthan away from BJP :two_thumbs_up:
Guest dada_rocks Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Shivraj Singh Chauhan has kind fo similar clean image like Modi may be not as efficient as Modi but he was good.. BJP needs leaders like this no point throwing in oldies like V K Malhotra... I am 100% sure this internal squabble of Harshvardhan Malhotra and Vijay Goyal turned out to be spoiler..
Desi Cartman Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 She has global appeal not a regional leader like laloo and mulayam.. She is the worst thing that could have happened to Indian politics, even worse than Sonia leading national Govt by remote control .. She is corrupt , shameless and basically a Goonda ... Mualayam and Amar singh arent any better though. These regional politicians stop national parties to have complete majority
