Eventhough Barrack Obama never used his 'muslim' middle name during his sucessesful Election campaign...but now since he's the president-elect...he feels that all 'three' names should be mentioned in his swearing-in ceremony as the president of USA. I feel....to some extent...the religious part of him is now being evident .....but the question remains...why "husane' ...his middle name was never used by him during his election campaign...if he felt it would not help him much during the campaign....then why does he feel that it is very important in the 'swearing-in' ceremony....I just don't get this!!!!

well...bottom line is...if Barrack Obama did not reveal his 'Husane' middle name initially...wtf is the urgency now to shove his middle name down the throat of Americans....just don't get it.....if the guy is not too comfortable to use his muslim middle name during his campaign...then he should not mention about it after winning the election.

I don't know. It is his full name. He has never been embarrassed about it. He has just not used it because of the obvious reasons and there were radio hosts who said his middle name (and emphasized on it) every time they spoke about him too. He had even said that whoever game him his middle name obviously didn't think he'd run for President.

Um, ok. I live in Chicago. I followed his campaign EVERY SINGLE day since January 2007 and I think I would know a little better than you about what his campaign said and didn't say. But whatever, keeping assuming **** - you're very good at that anyways.

It means I would know of a controversy whether I like it or not. I go to school/college. I too read on the Internet, watched MSNBC and CNN put a 20-hour discussion on this topic per day for like a week. He said that it was wrong that people assumed he was an "arab" or a muslim because of his middle name. When the particular racist radio host had John McCain on the show and kept emphasizing "Hussein", he felt sorry that it was being seen a bad thing for him to have such a middle name. It gave rise to theories that 1) He is muslim 2) He is a Kenyan-born citizen and American, etc. McCain himself called and apologized to Obama for "making fun" of his middle name. Go check the news websites you claim you read. He also said several times that he was a catholic and was raised a catholic and that his middle name is simply his father's name and has nothing to do with his faith or beliefs. So don't give me a lecture about the "internet" because it is of no use if you don't bother to read the damn article properly or follow the case thoroughly and completely.

Ummm ... Not Catholic. He belongs to the United Church of Christ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Church_of_Christ) - a very Protestant denomination. His only link with Catholicism is that he attended Catholic school for a couple of years.
