The Indian government has announced a number of steps to strengthen internal security after the Mumbai attacks. Interior Minister P Chidambaram said a national investigative agency would be launched, anti-terror laws beefed up and coastal security strengthened http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7776756.stm Good move or atleast in the right direction. This is the first of its kind in a long time.

This is the freaking welcome change people have bene shoutinf for this since last five years..Weel better late than never.. Do not sleep over some ritualistic tokenism from Pakistan too kepe them on the edge constantly demanding more and more. Heartening to see finally everyone thinking like one head in parliament no more of, this or that law we can;t have because this or that community doesn't like it garbage thinking. :two_thumbs_up: I am optimistic now as Mr Maninder jeet Singh Bitta rightly kept clamouring that all we need is political will any terro can be defeated and we have shown it in past in Punjab. Let us get to work now guy PS: :Please Sonai Mata and Manmohan Side-kick let federal agencies do their usual work instead of your dirty work
