(1) Avoid stressing.. (a) it's oke if that chic in next cabin doesn't entertain your amorous advances (b) it's oke if you don't have seven figure salary © it's oke if you don't drive ferrari (d)Whatever it's it's oke (2) Increase the leaf intake (3) Add 7-8 pieces of almond in your diet everyday (4) Start grinding the tip of fingers in one hand over the finger-nails in other hand.. yes yoga technique..
Thanks DR. Actually at my new workplace there's no chick worth hitting on either in my cubical or the next one. Maybe that's whats stressing me out :cantstop: Leaf and almond intake I shall definitely increase. And regarding the fingertip grinding ... my Mom had advised me the same after watching Baba Ramdev's programs. But this one's basically to stop hair loss and not graying.

As I have aged I have observed: 1) Success does not bring the same pleasure, although failure brings more depression. 5 years back if I could tune a SQL query that took an hour, to run in minutes, I would be happy for days. Today it almost comes as something to be expected. On the other hand if I can not tune the query I take it almost personal. I suppose in a way I can understand why cricketers celebrate their first, or fifth, century lot more than their 20th or 30th. 2) Sleep pattern has changed completely. As a teen I could lay down and catch my 40 winks in night and afternoon siesta. Nowdays siesta is completely gone. Night sleep is very much there, thankfully, though. 3) Physique wise can not complain. Probably in the best shape of my life. But thats also due to the fact that with age I have learnt what works best for my body(exercise, supplements, food etc) as also the fact that I am more focussed into my workout than that toned pair of female buns as she goes up and down the eliptical machine. xx

testosterone level is going down. not that it was out of control like THX ever.. :--D
but what does grinding fingers/nails have to do with restoring fallen hair? Strange!
Look up for ZMA supplement. zma-180b.jpg Take 30-45 minutes before sleep. Will boost testosterone(which just in case you care is secreted mostly when a person sleeps) which in turns helps with both test levels and falling hairs. Will also improve mood swings. ZMA is a total herbal supplement. You can also get ZMA by using a multivitamin but the combo of Zinc and Magnesium does not work very well with Calcium which is staple in multivitamin. xxx

Testosterone causes male pattern baldness. If it really boosts testosterone levels (doubt it does), you will go bald.

As in one's body secreting enough testosterone and one using testosterone supplement to further it. On the other hand if your levels are falling test supplement will help it get to the "correct" level. Correct me if I am wrong.

There are no qualifications, Lurker. If you have testosterone in your body, you are more likely to go bald than somebody who doesn't, starting at the temples. Whether you go bald at an early age depends on genetics.

From a health point of though, specially from a working out perspective, people with MPB are almost always people who lift more, and do cardio lot less. This may, atleast in part, explain MPB since most of the heavy lifters are almost always in test supplements(specually the kind that make more free test available), and use healthy fats like egg yolks, fish oil, omega6-9 oils that boost the test levels. For those with falling test levels I would argue to increase healthy fats in their diet - whole egg, fish oil etc. And supplement it with a Zinc based compound, ZMA is a good one personally me thinks. xxx

How do you decide who has falling testosterone levels?
The conclusive thing of course would be blood test to check test serum levels. Otherwise test levels can very well be falling with a) age(specially on wrong side of 30). b) Getting fatter without any appreciable change in the same lifestyle. c) Mood swings with more irritability without any explained reason. Like anything medical it would be detected by symptoms and proved by radiological results.

Lurker, those are old wives' tales. Medically significant testosterone deficiency is very uncommon in young and middle aged men. It is typically seen in a small proportion of old men with muscle wasting and low trauma fractures. That's one of the very few indication for replacement therapy in adults. Some young children with male genitalia, but low t levels because of pituitar problems may need supplementing, as will a small proportion of adults with a disorder called haemochromatosis and in an even smaller proportion of adults with pituitary failure because of autoimmunity. Those things you cite- getting fatter, irritable mood are so common and non-specific, as to be virtually useless for diagnosis. It's just a body-builder's myth. Young men in their 30s shouldn't even be thinking of t deficiency and certainly shouldn't think of taking t supplements, which have many side effects. There are lots of stuff on the market which claim to release t. These are useless, because firstly, there is no evidence that they do, secondly, what would be the point of increasing t levels in somebody (the overwhelming majority) who already have levels in normal range, and thirdly, if you were unfortunate enough to be one of the very few males with t deficiency, you should be taking medical replacement therapy, not natural supplements. Tell you what it does in females though. It makes them horny.

I am gonna have to disagree with you on this one Dhondy. No surprises really considering how Doctors and Meatheads never seem to agree when it comes to matter of health. Even on a simple matter of multivitamin and daily calories. I mean if I took what is suggested(2000-2500 calories a day) I would be half my size, not to mention the suggested multivitamin would do nothing for me except giving me yellow pi$$. I think meatheads have this right on. But the evidences are mostly anecdotal and not exactly proven in laboratories. From a personal experience I can assure you that taking zinc supplements before bed can do wonders. Give it a try, for a change be a medicine guinea pig and not the practioner. :hehe: xxx
