The Outsider Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Well played......edgy but doing the job.:hatsoff:
Predator_05 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 FABULOUS INNINGS UNDER PRESSURE...really scratchy start at the beginning but he is taking India home in a ONCE IN A LIFETIME 4th innings chase TEST MATCH BATSMAN
King Tendulkar Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 SINGH IS KING. On a 5th day raging turner as well. and some say he cant play spin
The Outsider Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 Looking in complete control now.....career changing innings perhaps?
Holysmoke Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 He may or may not have the technique to be a test batsman.. (a debate for another day) BUT YOU CANNOT DENY THAT HE HAS THE BALLS!!
punjabi_khota Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Will be the greatest Indian chase ever if we win. He would have written his name in test history books then.
Predator_05 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 He was ALWAYS a GUTSY batsman. You people just don't know quality when you see it.
Guest Hiten. Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 bwahahaaha, suddenly UV is test class and has some hairy bawls eh ? (intended @ Predz and holydumbass :D)
Holysmoke Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 He was ALWAYS a GUTSY batsman. You people just don't know quality when you see it. Maan gaye preds, maan gaye...:hatsoff: but its still not over till its over :((
Predator_05 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 bwahahaaha, suddenly UV is test class and has some hairy bawls eh ? (intended @ Predz and holydumbass :D) I've never slagged him off. Anyway, we'll see normal service resume when he gets out for 12 and 19 in the next test.
sandtest Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Yes, this is landmark inning from Yuvi...perhaps a turning point for his career in Test cricket if India wins this match. People will definately start looking at Yuvi with more appreciation than before.
King Tendulkar Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Yuvi just need to be very positive when batsman in gilly mode. Some days he will hole out others he will win games and get big scores
Holysmoke Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 bwahahaaha, suddenly UV is test class and has some hairy bawls eh ? (intended @ Predz and holydumbass :D) He may not have the technique, but he has the "aag" in his belly:haha: You cant deny that... He's not perfect.. he still got riled up by the sledges, etc.. but credit where its due..
graphic23 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Yes, this is landmark inning from Yuvi...perhaps a turning point for his career in Test cricket if India wins this match. People will definately start looking at Yuvi with more appreciation than before. More than to the fans or the team, he owes that much to himself. Being a part of several great ODI victories, he just needed the temperament I guess more than the skill to come good at the Test level, and its a pleasure watching him fight it out and bat well.
Predator_05 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 He was lucky that Tendulkar was with him though. I honestly don't think he would have survived this long if Tendulkar wasn't talking to him in between overs

I honestly don't think he would have survived this long if Tendulkar wasn't talking to him in between overs If I am not wrong, Tendulkar was clearly not happy with him when he survived the 'close' call in swann's over. He lectured him good and UV has tried to keep his cool since then
sandtest Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 right, Sachin's presence made Yuvi more focussed, else he gets carried away with testosterone surge, and then there was that chamgeedar freddie luring him.
