Guest Hiten. Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Most of the rules are pretty stupid and nonsensical. Take today for example, hour and half delayed start and we have a first session lasting an hour. But amusing part is we have a lunch for 40 bloody minutes, is that really necessary now ? I mean its a delayed start and you have only played hour of cricket. 10-15 minutes break would have done the trick along with tea session completely discarded. If you are not ready to use lights, then face the penalty of losing your break time. Kab akal aayegi :wall:
DomainK Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Nothing wrong with the rule book (in this case). The rule book authorizes the umpires to reduce the lunch time if they think that a result is possible. Its the judgment of the umpires, not the rules.

I am hoping India does not run out of time when Eng comes on to bat, just like we did vs Pakistan in Bangalore (confirm it please ?). Additional half an hour does mean a lot during these curtailed sessions.
fineleg Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 40 min lunch break is stupid deczn by ICC/umpires
