Prolonged period in test cricket? I wonder how you can give him a prolonged run when you can see his shortcomings so clearly!! I doubt that he'll get a prolonged run, if he fails in his first few attempts.

Prolonged run meaning three to four Tests minimum. I understand that you think you can see his shortcomings so easily, but I disagree with any sort of judging of a batsman based on technique as it is a system far too prone to exceptions such as Dhoni and Sehwag, as I have mentioned earlier.

But I couldn't find any such extra ordinary ability in Badri despite noticing some of his glaring short comings.
