....came from a format that was 'created' by Martin Crowe. Its a news for me and I never heard about this format until I watched the highlights of one of these games (thanks to rain interruption during NZ vs WI's game today). Only rule that irked me was "Max Zone" which basically is Every time a batsman hits the ball 60 metres straight down the ground into, over or through the Max Zone, the score for that ball is doubled. I dont know whats stupid in that? If thats stupid, then so is free hit, bowl out and the recent super over...

Moreover these games were played (mostly) in NZ, where the straighter boundaries are relatively short. Even a small glitch in Keeper's technique and the bowl could roll in the "MAX zone" and the opposition team will be awarded DOUBLE number of byes :giggle:
