But, I am not surprised whatsoever. He has voted against a PBA-ban as an Illinois Senator, so this is par for the course. i support this move by obama-the most dire problem in this earth is popualtion explosion and it is right for the US to help developing countries in family planning.

I wouldn't have a problem if these family planning groups were involved only in pregnancy-prevention efforts; it is the abortion efforts with which I disagree. I am curious to know what you think of his support for PBAs.

NO ONE has the right to take away life, even if you are growing it in YOUR body.

THX_1138 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 i have no say and opinion on abortion-this should be left for the women to decide(in any country) and no man has a right to legislate it.I read that most women(70-30) support roe-v wade(abortion law in us) and it they should maintain status quo on that subject. actually that number does not reveal all the facts. if you examine the demographics closely, pro choice agendas are favorable overwhelmingly amongst women between the age groups of 16 to 49; support is greater amongst women with some higher education past high school level; support is almost unanimous amongst women with a post graduate degree; support is almost unanimous amongst women with a doctoral degree. the anti choice support comes predominantly from older women, especially those who espouse to some abrahamic faith. like most other issues, support for women's rights is higher as the level of education increases. but what i find fascinating is men, who lack any reproductive took save for an inconvenient appendage and two distended spheres, have the audacity to control, nay even have an opinion on whether a woman can control her body. a bit like a vote where women deem that men who might run the risk of prostrate cancer must all be castrated past the age of 38 to reduce their chances of succumbing to such a disease and thus preserving the fabric of their family....
