M$D deserves to be sacked

That's pretty much where you're wrong. Pathan's job was to slog, he's not in the team because he can rotate the strike. Dhoni's job was to protect our tail against Mendis and Murali who still had plenty of overs left to go. Dhoni pretty much laid that out as the game plan after the first match on how to handle M & M.
in last five overs u still care about rotating strikes?PP was over so singles were on any way for mishits.if dhoni really wants to play M&M safely,he should bat higher.thers no point batting at no.5 or 6 n not even scoring run a ball wen game has been set up by yuvraj n sehwag

Has anyone noticed a correlation between Dhoni standing firm with the bat in the innings instead of giving it away rashly and team morale and performance? Could it be that a resolute knock means more to the team than the risk of a few runs more? Just a thought.

^^ What if MSD lost his wicket in upping the scoring ???
thank god yuvraj n sehwag didnt think that way wen we were 24/2.We were anyway gonna get 330,a pretty safe score so go for jugular n try to score 370-380.absolutely thrash them

Yuvi and Viru knew they had Raina' date=' Dhoni and Pathan to come in next ... but that wasnt the case for MSD !!![/quote'] so wat they had 40 overs still to play, dhoni only had 10.

Ummmmm...rox...ever considered that Yuvi and Viru were given free licence by Dhoni to go out there and play their shots without worry of consequence?

so wat they had 40 overs still to play' date='dhoni only had 10.[/quote'] Son let me cite u one eg . game 2 40 overs 211/5 PP taken, 2 guys MSD YKP look to up the ante ... looose 2 wickets India scrape 256 Had MSD been sensible there and taken accelerated later ... we would have reached 280 here you can fault MSD, so go feast on it, rox !!!

if they had failed media would have blasted them for playing carelessly, not dhoni.would dhoni have said that he had given them the license.i dont think so

No. I don't think Ishant was down on confidence. He in fact has not corrected his problems from the first outing where he was criticised. And he freely admitted to it as well in the 2nd game. Let's hope he picks up on the feedback he has been given and improves. He is 19 and needs a guiding hand and honest appraisal of his efforts. Flattery by Dhoni will not make him improve.

there also I expected him to accelerate later but he decided to walk.

He has said so in the past..."I told the boys, just go out there and enjoy your game and not worry about the result...it will take care of itself..." ring a bell....I have heard him say this on numerous occasions...
