Philip Hughes is the future

^ Hughes is turning into an EPIC :fail: :hehe: Jokes apart, I think the kid is good. He pwned South Africa in South Africa. Not something everyone can do. :cheer:

The kid is in his 7th test. (He's still got a test average in the 40s, and 2 hundreds against South Africa IN South Africa - more than quite a few better established players.) I still maintain - give him some time. At 21 he is clearly not the complete package. But he has the ability to get there IMO.

2 test centuries in South Africa - just one less than King Tendulkar. Oh well, at least we can be sure he's better than Don Bradman..

The thing that worries me is that he is basically attempting to shun the method that produced those runs for him in domestic kirkut and his first few test matches. I am genuinely excited about him as an opener but don't know how he'll turn out after trying to become more orthodox with his technique. I suppose we'll have to wait and watch, and we will end up watching given twatson's habit of getting injured every 3.842486464 seconds.

So name me the counties were Bradman has scored an overseas ton?
:hmmmm2: Apart from England you mean? Also, Hughes :woot: 58 off 51 with nine 4s and a six. Playing pretty well at the moment.

Punter compares hughes to sehwag. http://www.cricinfo.com/nzvaus2010/content/current/story/453102.html

"Every opportunity and every bit of exposure he gets is going to be good for him in the long run," Ponting said. "He's just such an exciting player. When he gets in that frame of mind there when the ball's in his area, it's going to go. If he keeps getting off to starts like that in Test cricket, it really sets up games. I'll encourage him to keep playing that way. "Someone like Virender Sehwag is a fairly similar Test match opener to what Hughesy is. Being that sort of player you will have your ups and downs but when you are up you win games and you give your side a good chance to win games."

Punter should be compared to Rush Limbaugh. I'm a huge Hughes fan, but damnit, that's just ****ing ridiculous.
Brilliant! :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Ricky Ponting is not new to sounding ridiculous. To even dream of comparing Hughes to Sehwag is to fool oneself. It is definitely good for the game to have many Sehwag's. But hoping is one thing and reality is another.
