Rajiv
Anyone remember this match tendulkar was almost out first ball to Kapil Dev but then took control with a century Sachin back with Ton By Ajay Chaturvedi There is good news for Indian cricket fans. Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has fully recovered from his back injury. Sachin scored an unbeaten 115 after two months of lay-off following a back injury, to help Azhar X1 pile up 292 for four in the Good Luck match between the 1983 World Cup winning team and the 1999 World Cup bound team at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Sachin, who opened the innings, played for 151-minute scintillating knock, which included 13 boundaries and 3 mighty sixes. Sachin clobbered Kapil Dev, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Roger Binny, Madan Lal and Ravi Shastri. The 30,000 odd crowd at the stadium gave a standing ovation to the star batsman who went from the attack from the word go and belted the Kapil X1 attack to all parts of the field. Sachin did not play the Coca-Cola Cup in Sharjah due to the back injury and was recuperating in Mumbai. Tendulkar told a TV channel that he was 100 per cent fit and was waiting to play in the World Cup. He said that India players should not worry about what happened at Sharjah. “India always does well in English conditionsâ€, Sachin said. Link to comment
