Mamu
There is a player called N Gopal who is currently playing for UAE against Afghanistan in WC Qualifier. I thought Expatriates cannot play for UAE, so how is this dude playing for UAE ? Going by his name he surely cannot be a UAE Citizen. Did they change the rules again ? Link to comment

Mamu
Strauss and Pietersen got english citizenships before they played for Engalnd. UAE (atleast from what I know) does not offer citizenships to ANYBODY except to those born to UAE guys in UAE. Which means if an Indian living in UAE gives birth in UAE -- that kid is not an UAE citizen. Which essentially means no expatriate kids can ever play for UAE. ICC said no to citizens from other countries representing UAE. SO was just wondering has UAE started giving citizenships to people from other countries? Link to comment
amits
the icc has a 4 year rule. any player who lives in a country for 4 years can play for that country also those players who were born in a country r eligible after fulfilling a development criteria Link to comment

Who knows next Ashes test it might be Ponting who belts sixes off of 'Saqi'. Link to comment
