veeru_rocks Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 as peculiar as they may be, afghanistan captain dost muhammed did not once make a divine reference or communal suggestion. i have a feeling that afghanistan while far from secular, if given the opportunity, might not be communal sink hole that unfortunately pakistan is evolving into. Baluchistan is considered pakistan's most secular state.. All the Hindu temples spared from extinction on that side of border exists either in baluchistan or rural sindh..
Guest Gunner Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 First of all the Pakistanis belong to the deobandhi or salafi form of Islam which is more virulent. The afghans were never wahabbis but staunch muslims as they have always been. There is a general misunderstanding about afghan people that they are religious fanatics which is not true. If you read afghan history they were always magnificently offended when their homeland was invaded otherwise they were largely peaceable. Pakistan particularly under the rule of Zia indoctrinated jihadism in the minds of the afghans in the refugee camps outside Multan which is how people like Gulbudin Hekmatyar were born. I can go on about afghan history and particularly what happened in the 80s but I suggest opening a seperate thread for this discussion. Btw Paki soldiers raped afghan women and sold them in Hira Mundi. I was once told by a driver from PoK how women were abducted for sale by the Paki soldiers hours after the earthquake in Oct 2006. Why would you not hate them if this happened?

EnterTheVoid Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Can't digest the fact that every ****ing country in the world hates pakistan ? Humm...replace drugs with jehadis and thats pretty much the opinion in india abt the land of pure. :haha: Can you feel the love in the air ? Ouch. Oh man. Brash and to the point. Even I don't have the balls to say that and my views have remained more or less the same since I joined
Guest Gunner Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 as ghastly as that sounds' date=' its sheer hearsay... i.e. fiction until proven otherwise. please refrain from presenting it as verified and ascertained information.[/quote'] The first part is hearsay, which of course I cannot prove to the satisfaction of everyone but which I certainly believe occurred. The second part, was from a guy from the region in which it happened and was there. I am not sure that is hearsay as he would make a reliable witness. Kindly don't lecture me.:two_thumbs_up:
