Kumble is fluent but the most important facet of commentating is modulating one's tone , this he cant (doesnt ) do which makes him sound like a professor ala Narrothum Puri albeit an English speaking version.

Kumble is very good as far as knowledge of the game and language goes... I remember a great comment he made about stumps not moving when batsmen do or something like that..

Kumble is a really good commentator. Really like him. Bhogle is a bit of a clown sometimes you feel but I like him. Botham as a commentator is actually pretty poor sometimes even though I tend to respect his playing achievements.

Hehe, No Harsha is pretty funny at times, Like at the Bangla vs India, Suresh Raina comes out to bat, he says his nickname is, Sonu..then Harsha said.. "Okay Sonu Beta"..That was pretty funny...:hysterical:
