I don't think a true free market economy/laissez faire capitalist society exists anywhere but in theory. US has a semi FME with the Fed acting as the regulator. These guys took it easy, let bankers take max risks and the economy went into tailspin. The Industry considers the RBI in India a pain in the ***** but atleast they do their job.
