I use reCaptcha in many my websites myself as I find them them better equipped to combats spam bots while being easier to type and taking lesser time .. I particularly use them in my social bookmarking sites or user submitted content sites as it is even more susceptible to spam there .. I have hardly ever got any spam with sites using reCaptcha

I get pissed off with some of my websites and some of them are not created by spam bots.. human created spam are even bigger nuisance than spam bots because you do not have any way to end human created spam
