Riley's Girl Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Founder's day? Nope. Just a day to celebrate the diverse cultures & heritages that exist in the country. I guess Van Riebeeck Day, celebrated on 6 April, qualifies as Founder's day, though it's not a public holiday.
Riley's Girl Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 booooo!! no public holidays here till xmas now! :(( We have Reconciliation day on the 16th of December then the Christmas holidays.

Riley's Girl Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I guess we would need 365 heritage days to celebrate our diversity in India.... Somehow we manage to squeeze it into one day. Guess it's because people tend to focus on their own heritage rather than learning about someone else's.
