Mamu
India, along with hosts South Africa and Australia , are the strongest contenders for next month's ICC Champions Trophy with Yuvraj Singh posing a massive threat to the bowlers, fears New Zealand medium pacer Ian Butler. "India plays good one-day cricket. So, I wouldn't like to put a finger on who is favourite to win the 5 October final. You've got to look after your own backyard and not worry about what other teams are doing," Butler said in an ICC newsletter. "Yuvraj Singh is a massive danger, especially with some of the short boundaries he can get," the 27-year-old pacer added. Apart from Yuvraj, the right-arm pacer tipped South African pacer Dale Steyn [ Images ] and Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal [ Images ] as players to watch out for. Link to comment

gaurav92
yuvraj is definitely threatening and some other threatening batsman who will be playing the Champions Trophy are Sachin (of course) Jayasuriya (But somehow hes falling cheaply nowadays with his poor shot selection) dilshan (in terrific form) gibbs (at home he is devastating) ab de villiers (hes a gr8 player too) Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Afridi is pants. Has a couple of decent 20/20 lottery games and is a world beater again. To try and compare retard to the regal yuvraj is like trying to compare a donkey to a thoroughbred stallion! Link to comment

The Outsider
It's time Yuvraj did something special in a big tournament. I had thought he would have a terrific WC '07. Did nothing special and flopped in the CB series. Perhaps it's time for him to have a career defining torunament like Tendulkar in '96 or Dravid in '99 WC. He is at the top of his game and it's not unreasonable to expect something special from him here. Link to comment

The Outsider
T20 WC? Yeah, T20 WC. And since Afridi has already been mentioned in the thread, I'll go on record and say I expect bigger and better things from Yuvraj than T20 action. Link to comment
