Cricketics Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 Great news! Hear Djokovic won in 4 sets. Ya. In the end, after all Djokovic was too good a opponent for the American Witten. He played welll though for his rank. Djokovic needs to fix up his game soon or elese he won't go too far in this tournament. So now all the favorites of this tournament have a lost a set. Roger lost to hewitt today and Nadal lost last night to Kiefer. Murray already not playing his best. Roddicks game would be interesting today.
Cricketics Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 Bhupathi/Knowles seal off first set 7-5. 2nd set on. meanwhile, American Melanie oudin has broken Sharapova twice in 2nd set. she is up 4-1. She lost the first set 6-3
Riley's Girl Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Witten did play well. Djokovic should watch out, not only for this tournament but also for his overall ranking. Not too long ago people were expecting him to be a serious contender for the #1 spot. As for Federer... Man I was biting my nails for a big part of the match. Specially after he was 0-40 down in the 3rd game of the first set! Haven't caught one of Murray's games yet & probably won't watch Roddick since I have about a 1000 km drive to the coast ahead of me in the morning.
Cricketics Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 Roddick is playing his countrymen John Isner. John Isner is a former number2 of American NCA championship. He lost to Somdev Devvarman in the finals of NCA, who represented University of Virginia. Roddick will win this one in straight sets

Cricketics Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 wow totallyl diff story here. Isner won the first to set to leave Roddick in a situation where he would have to win all 3 remaining set to stay in the US open. He wins the 3rd set and now needs to win the last 2. Great game so fari
