ShermanAve
Because it is. India/Pak invariably see some crap bowling attacks or pathetically flat pitches like Faisalabad that lead to a bunch of drawn games and only the odd really interesting result. 2004 series Or did your field of vision get blurred when your head got jammed all the way up your ass? Mind your language, otherwise.... Link to comment
Zap_Brannigan
Look at that huge gap between England and Pakistan. BTW, does anyone remember the ratings a few years back when Aus were dominating. I think Aus were 130 or so with the rest hovering in the 90s?Maybe its a sign that Ind,SA,Eng and SL have improved their standards . Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
2004 series Multan was a flat track. Pakistan just happened to fail on it twice. Rawalpindi was also relatively flat after the first day. What about the return series? Or how about some of the games Pakistan has hosted India in before that '04 series? (assuming your memory goes back that far?) Link to comment
ShermanAve
Multan was a flat track. Pakistan just happened to fail on it twice. Rawalpindi was also relatively flat after the first day. Obviously you cannot prepare SA like seamer friendly pitches in Pakistan or even in India. So if a team scores 600, it is flat and team gets out twice, it has nothing to do with bowler quality or good pitch but blame it on the other team poor batting. wat great logic :giggle: What about the return series? Or how about some of the games Pakistan has hosted India in before that '04 series? (assuming your memory goes back that far?) About the return series in 2006. Pak never hosted a test match during winter in north before that series because of weather issues especially fog. PCB requested BCCI to start the series from karachi and then go onto Lahore & Rawalpindi but they refused and curators cannot prepare a pitch in total fog with no sunlight, hence the bad pitches in 1st & 2nd test match. Karachi test match was played on a seamer friendly wicket. Link to comment
Lord
i would be surprised if India doesnt go into CT as the no.1 ODI team n there is good chance of being test no.1 if we win test series against SL comprehensively.but Dhoni would ave to let go f that mentality of drawing games after taking 1-0 lead. n dont count out Australia they have two easy test series against Pak n WI coming up.they have a shot at regaining it Link to comment
