CG
Players like ashish nehra, dravid have all been included in the team due to ipl performances but those who slogged and scored in domestic tournaments like robin uthappa, kaif, bolwers like kulkarni have not been gotten a chance, even a tours have taken precedence over domestic cricket virat kohli for example.this selection commitee is a of a bunch of dancing jokers. ViruRulez
Wait for the Champions League T20. You might also see many countries selecting players based on Champions League performance. :winky: Link to comment
DomainK
The IPL can be one of the indicators, nothing wrong with that. It may not be the only one though. Link to comment
punjabi_khota
Yeah Dravid has been considered due to his IPL performance, not his 10k+ runs in ODIs. Link to comment
yoda
thought nehra sucked in IPL or was that only in IPL-1? Link to comment
ViruRulez
thought nehra sucked in IPL or was that only in IPL-1? Nehra was Delhi's best bowler in IPL 2 alongwith Nannes. But Nannes played more games and so overall Nehra was a better bowler. Link to comment
Sooda
Im not sure Nehra even played IPL1 - he was definitely good in IPL2, which is why he's in the team. And Dravids recall is based on his IPL2 performances Guys like Dinda, and Manpreet were in senior squads solely based on IPL performances. Jakati is in one of the challenger teams- that surely must be based on his IPL run out, his FC record is very ordinary Link to comment
