Sachinism
Andrew Flintoff will help coach the UAE national team while he recovers from his latest operation in Dubai. His agent, Andrew "Chubby" Chandler, told The Times the work was part of a deal struck with Dubai Sports City where Flintoff will undertake treatment in the coming months. The arrangement will be informal and he will not have an official role. "A partnership has been agreed to use their gym and facilities as a base for his rehabilitation," Chandler said. "I believe he will be one of the first people to use them. In return he will be carrying out some coaching for the UAE national team over the next six months. There's been good growth in UAE cricket in the last few years and Andrew felt that he wanted to give something back." Chandler also revealed Flintoff's children had already started at a local school and the family were on the hunt for permanent accommodation. The news will be a boost not only to the UAE national team but to Dubai itself, which has been seriously hit by the global economic downturn. House prices have tumbled, developers have cancelled projects and there has been a significant exodus of foreign workers as jobs have dried up. It has also suffered from adverse publicity as a result of the state's draconian laws. The UAE team are among the leading Associates and will host the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers later this year. source: cricinfo :hmmm: Link to comment

ViruRulez
Freddie is going to remain in Dubai for the next six months. So, maybe he is giving the coaching so that he gets some royal facilities from the Sheikh of UAE. Maybe he would get a plot of land in the palm islands or a piece of land in the world islands in return. :giggle: Link to comment

May be he is establishing residency there to avoid paying taxes from the big bucks he will be making from IPL and other 20-20 leagues. Link to comment
