The Outsider
I think its the match referees call. 172/20 overs as Shwetabh put it sounds daunting never the less - espeically without Yousuf Pathan. 9:25 PM is the cut off time by which a 20 over match must start. Link to comment
Desi Cartman
Good Luck poyzzzzzzzzzzz when I wake up in 6 hrs I want to see the headlines "India best Australia by 7 wickets" Link to comment
varun
Unconfirmed report on sky says that: India has to score 263 in 42 overs Link to comment
The Outsider
nothing looks good except 50 over 8.6 RPO with 8 Powerplay overs is definitely possible in a 20 over game, so is 8 RPO in 25 overs with 10 Powerplay overs. Link to comment
patriot
153 target in 20 overs confirms crapinfo. Link to comment
patriot
18.15 Still raining and the covers are still on. Rather heavy. Lots of lightning. 17.55 If Australia's innings ends now, India's target in 42 overs is 263. If its reduced to 20 overs then 153. I have asked our people at the ground for further updates about the rain. Stay tuned, be patient. Link to comment
gaurav92
153 target is chasable with the likes of SRT, Gambhir and Raina Link to comment
gaurav92
18.30 Tony Lewis, of Duckworth and Lewis, has emailed giving us the correct permutation. A newer version of the software was implemented for this tournament, which Tony has. Per the new WinCODA2 software being used by Tony and the scorers in South Africa, India's target will be 266 in 42 overs, and 166 for 20 overs. Thanks for that Tony. Appreciated. And no, this system apparently does not take into consideration Powerplays. Crapinfo's latest post Link to comment

jf1gp_1
8.6 RPO with 8 Powerplay overs is definitely possible in a 20 over game' date=' so is 8 RPO in 25 overs with 10 Powerplay overs.[/quote'] i agree its a better than chasing 300 in 50 overs but we dont really have the batsman to score at 8.6 for 20 overs Link to comment
diegovegaz
266 in 42 overs, india's target if so much play not possible, then it'd be as dinakkar says below Link to comment

jf1gp_1
i have seen praveen kumar bat and quiet frankly imo he is hopeless, however he has played a few good innings in domestic games; has anyone seen one of his better innings ? Link to comment

patriot
Still 3 hours to go before the game can be called off. There is a fair chance of a game if the rain stops. Link to comment
