Indianfan_Hyd
IPL is killing Indian Cricket. The way this team is looking jaded it is a matter of time when they spiral down further. This is by far the best team in the world right now. But the greedy BCCI is killing the golden goose. You can easily see from T20 World cup that the team is carrying lots of niggles, looks tired and uninterested. We already lost 3 important players to Injury, more will follow. Those who will play will not be fresh. But all of them will have to play IPL cos they get money and BCCI wont tolerate nothing short of full fitness for IPL. BCCI is planning to expand next IPL to 2 months and introduce a mini IPL. We already have a Champions League. So almost four months of IPL in one year. No wonder BCCI has cut the no. of tests to 4 this year. Because its time to make money. Remember every rupee BCCI earns MODI and Co. get a hefty commission on that. So they not stop till there is no more Indian Cricket to milk to death. Link to comment

Like the English team we should have taken rest by playing 5 Tests, 2 T20s and 7 ODIs in 3 months just before playing the Champions Trophy. Then we may have been able to beat the No.1 and No. 4 teams in the world in successive matches. Link to comment
Celeste
India had a long break before coming to CT so too much cricket is just an excuse. Link to comment

Dinx - the Jinx
stupid thread. stop whining about too much cricket.. the guys had a long break. agree to certain extent on the point that IPL is creating problems. Its IPL that got Zak and Viru injured after which they are yet to make a comeback. But having said that, you can get injured in any game you play, or even during practice. So, can blame IPL for everything either Link to comment
Riley's Girl
Oh really? Just want to point out that both India and South Africa had a break before the CT. Both teams went in as favourites to make it to the final and we all know where they are now. Too much cricket doesn't apply here. Link to comment
