Cricketics
What an Umpire he is. I hope he gets best umpire of the year award yet again. Couple of great decisions today on the bowling of praveen and Ishant. He has been great throughout the tournament. Have seen David shepherd, Dicky bird etc etc. but i have to call this guy Simon, the best ever Best Umpire in history of Cricket. Link to comment
ViruRulez
I agree that he is the best umpire at least in contemporary cricket. He is perhaps been the only umpire who has given absolutely correct decisions even without even referring to the third umpire. Link to comment
DomainK
My dad says Bird is the best umpire he has ever seen. To me, it's Simon. Link to comment
graphic23
I still can't forget this first innings SR Tendulkar lbw Collingwood decision by Taufel. http://www.cricinfo.com/engvind/engine/match/258469.html - It was like on the 4th or 5th stump. Was really upset at the time. Otherwise, he's been a fine umpire. Link to comment

Cricketics
There have been worse decisons then that which tendulkar got @ Graphic. Seroiusly, having watched so much cricket, I was quite surprised how badly Taufel was abused for giving Tendulkar out that time. I know it was big wicket, but still. People over reacted a lot that time when Taufel gave that decision. just my two cent on this Link to comment
