Ram
Reports indicate the Barack Obama may go in for a second stimulus package, specifically to boost the flagging job market. Watch this space.
Lurker
Not sure if a second stimulus will help in the job market. Currently the financial markets have stabilized which is a good news but people in general are not spending. If there is less spending that would directly affect job creation. A very significant study recently(forgot the name of the study group) found out that while people have lost jobs the productivity as a whole has gone up. In other words if earlier 10 people were required to form a team, now only 6-8 can do the same job. This of course would make companies efficient but job creation would be hit as a whole. punjabi_khota
Well if the stimulus package comes with the TARP restrictions on hiring people on H1-Bs, I would rather wish there isn't any such package.
gs
A second stimulus will clearly kill the dollar. There is already such a massive influx that it might not be worth the paper its printed on.

That would be the ultimate irony. For folks who spent irresponsibly this wont do a darn thing to quell their problems. For those who saved responsibly this will eat their hard earned savings.
