As a kid, a tamaatar from the cart of a sabziwallah along with my other friends. The mistake I did was to turn back and see that guy slowly pick up the fallen tomatoes and place it back on his cart. I was guilt-ridden the whole day. :(( Never stole anything else since then. :D

my son took a pair of earings from a shop while we were in a shopping mall when he was about a year old and i hadnt realised he still had them in the buggy when we got home they were nice earings too - does that count?

I have been quite a thief. A few pens while in college, a a couple of books from my sister, a paperweight from the principal's office, a keyring from a girl. That's all I can remember.

The ideal answer is no, but I won't say that. I am not exactly a saint. But it depends on what the object is, what use it is to me and how much it will hurt the ream owner.

Never really stolen anything and probably would never like to be in the position to feel tempted. As a kid I had lot of things stolen from me at school and it really hurt my feelings. I wouldn't put someone else through the same.
